Sharing our passion and knowledge for wine has been the "plan" since we opened our doors in 1997. This year we are offering two unique tours to experience Stone’s Throw up close and personal. This translates to an adventure of the senses – see, hear, smell, taste and touch. You choose! What are you in the mood for? Whether it be a simple tasting or a more in-depth encounter…our goal is to offer a valuable experience and entice you to come back for more. Please note: This is not a video presentation nor a peek through a window… this, like our wines, is the real deal. Salute!

This is truly unique, and unlike any other Door County wine tasting experience!
“Wine Encounters” Tour
It’s not a “look – but don’t touch” kind of experience. Walk through the door of our winery and be prepared to have your senses kick-started with the aroma of wine aging in barrels. One of our wine educators will take you through…of course this will have to include some ‘hands-on’ barrel tasting (you’ll be able to work here after we get through with you!). In order to quench your appetite for knowledge as well as your thirst we will escort you back to our Tasting Room where you can continue to pleasure your senses with more tastings from our wide selection.
This tour showcases our winemaking process, philosophy and style:
Steps we take to make our wines (crushing, fermenting, pressing, aging and bottling)
Difference in barrels, French oak, American oak or Hybrid
Recognizing/Describing aromas and flavors of wine
Aging process
Blending
Tannins/Acids

Payment is non-refundable once the reservation is made.
Due to staff commitment or group size, Stone’s Throw maintains the right to invoke the “might not happen” clause at which time all monies will be immediately refunded and a tour substitution will be offered.
